Here's what some of our clients have had to say about the Davis™ program...
"Yesterday while in the car [our eldest son] had a 'Calvin & Hobbes' cartoon book - and [our youngest son/ReSet client] said, "Hey... I can read this part!"... and he read one of the captions under the cartoon! Although he got stuck on a couple of words he didn't know, the first 5-6 words he read without hesitation!!!
It was the first time he:
a) felt comfortable to even try to read on his own
b) was able to read anything - without phonetically 'pushing' through it!
I know we weren't expecting a quick fix for him - and I know we have a lot of work to keep him going strong... but I was so excited that he had the interest and desire to read it... It's just always been too much of a struggle for him before that he didn't even want to try to read....I think he was pretty proud and happy for himself, too!!! Thank you!"

"[When I'm off-point,] balance isn't that good and I get distracted easily. Lots of things cause me to disorient: Certain words, some letters, some numbers, and sometimes I get disoriented when I get bored! Sometimes fast moving objects disorient me, and sometimes when I am tired.
The [Davis] tools really help me focus — if I am on-point, it helps me — even without learning, like even when playing a video game! With Picture-at-Punctuation, I can read better now. I also understand how =, -, x, and ÷ work now...that helped! [The multiplication grid] gave a visual understanding. [The creating order activity*] made things more clear, and [Symbol Mastery of the] concepts helped me see math [in clay] — so I really do understand it more!"
*After creating order with miscellaneous items, identifying them, describing their conditions, places and positions, he systematically arranged them in his assigned order. Then he said, "My mom would be astounded at what I have done...I have never done that at home."

Reading: I have to let you know that [our son] has discovered that he can read! Lots of amazing things have been happening in that regard — such as hearing him tell his friend yesterday that he only starting liking reading this summer!
There was a remarkable change. What was most interesting for me to watch was his ability to read information around him - signs, posters, pamphlets etc. He had previously struggled so much with this type of reading. Also, he has read chapter books on his own now (beginning in July) - he is liking the Gordon Korman series - Island and Titanic. Instead of reading aloud to me, he reads on his own. He stops to tell me about the story and read interesting parts, so it seems like he really is understanding and enjoying. He also started reading the Captain Underpants books, and quickly read through all of these. At school recently they had a choice of books about the holocaust to read and write about. He chose the shortest, but he read it on his own, and, again, was telling me about it and reading it aloud.
Printing: Shortly after [his Davis Program], I helped him write a birthday card and it was neat to see that he almost pulled himself up as he prepared to focus on it.
The other interesting development is that his printing, although nowhere close to lovely, is much improved. Generally his letters are much the same size and in a good placement on the page — so that it looks consistent, if not nice!
Headaches: I was able to help him ease away two headaches using [the Davis] techniques! ...I haven't heard any complaints about headaches either, despite school starting. It has helped with myself as well, especially when I've dealt right away with a headache that comes on quickly. Amazing!

"[During my Davis Program at ReSet, I learned] that I can find some words that confuse me and fix them. I learned some tools to slow down and make less mistakes; I can also use [Davis Three-Steps to Easier Reading techniques] Spell-Reading and Sweep-Sweep-Spell to help slow down, and Picture-at-Punctuation to get meaning and put it in my own words.
I use Release [Davis Relaxation technique] so I don't try too hard and so my focus/balance is stronger and I can use Focus to make sure the information I get is accurate. I can use Symbol Mastery for spelling, and my Dial so I can control my boredom."
- 11 year-old male ReSet client
After reading his post-program assessment interview responses, the mother of a 12-year-old male client said that he has improved in additional observable ways at home. For example, using Orientation (focus) and Release to help his balance when moving in contexts that used to make him dizzy, getting to sleep easier, and reducing anxiety. He has had just one headache, which Release seemed to help with. He could not use the dictionary before, but is doing so now. He is also seeing punctuation marks now. He is showing more self-awareness, confidence, and pride in his accomplishments.
Reading-"I'm getting better at reading and remembering! I'm not making as many mistakes! I used my tools to fall asleep easier (Release and Dial)."
Words can [confuse me] — make my mind's eye go sho-o-o-o....[But now] I can check if I'm on point [focused/centered] by balancing....That's how I found out when I make a mistake and I don't realize it, my mind's eye still goes off point. It's kind of cool learning that."

Expert Testimonies for the Davis™ Program
"Ron Davis is a revolutionary and profound thinker and has discovered what history will record as one of the great insights in the fields of learning and how the mind works."
- Thom Hartmann, author of Beyond ADD: Hunting for Reasons in the Past and Present, and many other top selling books.
"These [Davis] procedures have an excellent foundation in learning theory. They use each of the senses for learning and provide for concept integration."
- Joan Smith, Ed.D., author of You Don't Have to be Dyslexic
"After hearing so much about what kids labeled 'dyslexic' can't do, it's refreshing to learn from Ron Davis about the gift of dyslexia. Davis helps us reframe the learning abilities of kids who have trouble reading, yet who possess superior visual-spatial understanding, and he provides important clues as to how they can be reached."
